When they have completed the sewer work, they will expand the park on the south side, near the homes, by pushing the fence out further to the east. We have several events coming up in the next couple months and we really need some volunteers: Saturday, May 5th, downtown Vancouver at Ester Short Park from 7:30am to Noon. This is a friendly email reminder letting you all know about upcoming events that DOGPAW will be participating in. Currently, we are in need of volunteers to work small 2-4 hour shifts at each event, working our memberhsip table, and selling our merchandise. May 5- SWWHS Walk for the Animals, Esther Short Park, We need people to work the Dogpaw booth. set up at 7AM, tear down at 12:30. Shifts are 7-10, and 10-12:30 May 12- Membership Drive, Ross Park, 9-5. Shifts are 8:30AM-11, 11-2, and 2-5PM May 19- Fido Fun Day, Esther Short Park, 9:30AM-3PM. Shifts are 9-12, and 12-3 May 19- Hazel Dell parade- walk with your dog in the parade in the Dogpaw group, the theme is Western Days, if you and/or your dog want to dress up. Contact Jean Hood for more info if you are interested. More details will be availible on May 12, at Ross Park we will be holding a small 'meet-up' with those interested. One of our goals this year is to be more visible in our community, and to be able to spread the word about our parks and promote the awareness that we need more parks that are off-leash.
