ROSS CHIP SPREADING EVENT SUNDAY, JANUARY 13


WOW  ---  what a success!  You came with shovels, rakes,
wheelbarrows, trucks, trailers, a tractor too, lots of
energy and woman/man power! Thank you, thank you.

One of the volunteers commented that she had been to
almost every work party and had never seen such
participation.

Mark Sonney at Yard N Garden Land in Hazel Dell donated
and delivered 10 yards of top quality cedar playground
chips that were spread at the entrances.  Yard N Garden
is located on Highway 99 at 1501 NE 102nd Street ? please

The tornado that week contributed too!  We were able get
some of the people cleaning up fallen trees to dump their
chips at Ross Park instead of trucking them across town
and paying to dump them.  That helped them and us.

Between Yard N Garden, the tornado, and some regular chip
sources like Autumn Arbor Care, literally tons of chips
were spread; all we had that day.  Since then more tornado
chips have been delivered and we are working on how to
handle them.

Dogs and their humans are now enjoying a much safer and
more pleasant place to run, frolic and walk.  Thank you
all again for your participation, you made a big difference.
