Vandervoort will open Monday, March 3rd at 7am and it is located at 400 NE 172nd Avenue next to Laurelwood Church. We can park in the church lot EXCEPT on Sunday morning between 8am-2pm when we must use street parking. At this time, the plan is to leave the current site at Pacific open until March 17th to allow for a smooth transition. Vandervoort is a temporary site until the permanent off leash park at Pacific opens this summer. It is critical that all park users follow the rules! Especially make sure that no dogs are off leash outside the fenced dog park and that all waste is cleaned up immediately. Additionally, no chairs may be left inside the park, so if you need a chair during your visit you will need to bring it with you and take it home. There has been a big effort by neighbors around Vandervoort to prevent this site from being used for a dog park and we need to be very responsible in using this park. There has been alot of work and expense on the part of Clark County and the Fire department to make sure we had an off leash park to use before the Pacific site opens. Be sure to attend the Dogpaw annual membership meeting on Wednesday March 5th (all details about meeting on the Dogpaw website _www.clarkdogpaw.org_ (http://www.clarkdogpaw.org) )where you will learn about off leash projects and you can show your support for more dog parks!! **************Ideas to please picky eaters.
