Off Leash Dog Park Rules & Tips ::.
Official Rules ::.
  1. No other animals are allowed.
    The off leash dog park is for DOGS, their handlers and those accompanying them.
  2. Dogs under 4 months of age, female dogs in heat, and sick dogs are not allowed.
    (CCC 8.11.060)
  3. Unaltered male dogs are not allowed.
    We STRONGLY suggest this and are seeking permanent ruling!
  4. Dogs MUST be on leash when entering and exiting the off leash park.
    (CCC 8.11.060 or VMC 8.24.110 or VMC 8.24.120)
  5. Food and drinks in glass containers are prohibited.
  6. Dogs MUST be removed from the park at the first sign of aggression.
    (CCC 8.11.060 or VMC 8.24.150).
  7. Do not allow your friendly dog to jump on people.
    (CCC 8.11.060)
  8. Handlers MUST clean up after their dogs.
    Please pick up stray poop that an owner may have missed. Kindly notify an owner if they missed their dogs's poop. Consider carrying an extra bag to offer to others (CCC 8.11.060 or VMC 8.24.140).
  9. You must promptly respond to any request to "call or control your dog."
    Your dog must be able to respond to voice or hand commands.
  10. Handlers MUST stop their dogs from digging and must immediately fill any holes created by their dog.
  11. Users of this park do so at their own risk and are responsible for any problems caused by their dog.
  12. Pick up any trash you find.
    Plastic and trash of all kinds can end up in a dog's mouth.
  13. Smoking is not allowed.
    It's not allowed in Vancouver Parks and this rule applies in our Off-Leash Dog Areas as well.
  14. Your dog MUST be licensed, vaccinated and wear the appropiate tags.
    (CCC 8.07 or CCC 8.11.060 or VMC 8.24.020).
These rules and tips will help to ensure that our dog parks stay clean and safe.
A CAUTION about CHILDREN ::.
This is a DOG PARK and is not a safe place for children to play. All children entering the park must be in the company of an adult and under close supervision at all times. A screaming, running or unattended child may become a natural target for dogs that are bred to herd, hunt, chase or guard. Even a playful dog can knock over or inadvertently run over a child.
A note about Animal Control ::.
Animal Control has the authority to patrol Clark County, including our dog parks. In fact, we welcome their presence, as a deterrent to unsafe and unlawful behavior.

Your dog must be licensed and wear their required license at all times, failure to wear a required license may result in monetary penalties pursuant to VMC 8.24.020, CCC 8.07, or CCC 8.11.060.

Pet license fees pay for important programs that protect you and your pet. The animal ambulance and shelter, public safety, cruelty investigation, adoption services, and limited income assistance services are all supported by license fees.
